Daydreaming is Beneficial

Go Ahead — Waste Your Time | Rebecca Davis | MSN Lifestyle

“Daydreaming might feel like the ultimate waste of time, but it’s just the opposite. Recent research from Dartmouth College suggests that during daydreaming, your brain may actually be processing important issues that aren’t relevant at that immediate moment”

Have you ever had a eureka moment days after a particular situation? Especially if you weren’t concentrating on that specific issue? I’ve often said that walking away from a problem can be an excellent way at arriving at a solution. I haven’t been able to find the actual research from Dartmouth that the article references, (If anyone find it I’d love to be informed) but it is interesting to hear about this research that points to the power of our subconscious.

So the next time you are faced with an impossible problem try day dreaming or sleep on it.
