Comcast won’t interfere in P2P

Comcast does an about-face and says that it will treat all traffic equally.

Comcast has said that its practices were necessary to keep file-sharing traffic from overwhelming local cable lines, where neighbors share capacity with one another. On Thursday,
Comcast said that by the end of the year, it will move to a system that manages capacity without favoring one type of traffic over another.

Color me skeptical but it does inspire a bit of hope that Comcast will leave Bittorrent traffic alone. To be perfectly honest I’m surprised their SMC modems can handle the traffic 😉
